For me, healthcare has always been more than just an industry it’s a deeply personal mission. I founded Halcyon Healthcare Advisors out of a profound commitment to bridging the gaps in our healthcare system, especially for underserved communities and individuals who struggle to receive the care they desperately need.
Growing up, I witnessed firsthand how children in underserved communities were denied quality medical care simply because of where they lived or the type of insurance they had. Families were forced to navigate a broken system, filled with denied claims, long wait times for credentialed providers, and insurance policies that dictated whether a child could receive life changing treatment. It was heartbreaking to see parents fighting to access the most basic services for their kids, often being told, “Your insurance doesn’t cover this,” or, “There are no in network providers available.”
But the moment that changed everything for me was losing a close friend to mental illness.
